Altos de Chavón Foundation
Among the many contributions that the Central Romana Corporation has made to the cultural development of the Dominican Republic, the one that stands out the most is the Altos de Chavon School of Design, located in Altos de Chavon, La Romana.
The Altos de Chavon School of Design is a university that is affiliated with the Parsons School of Design in New York City, where students from around the country and all over the world come to learn and develop their skills as artists. The subject matter taught is of the same level and structure as that taught by its sister school in New York City. The different courses include graphic design, fashion, interior design and modern art.
Currently ranked as one of the top twenty best schools for fashion design in the world, the Altos de Chavon School of design has graduated over 900 professionals who have become leaders in their fields.
